Ameritas Signs On as New Title Sponsor for Nebraska Volleyball

Huskers Kick Off New Era with Home Opener Against TCU

Cornhuskers Ready to Serve Up a Win

Volleyball is back in Lincoln as the Nebraska Cornhuskers prepare for their home opener against the Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs. The highly anticipated matchup will take place on Friday, August 26, at the Devaney Sports Center. With a new title sponsor in Ameritas, the Huskers are eager to kick off their season with a victory.

Ameritas, a leading financial services provider based in Lincoln, has signed a multi-year agreement to become the title sponsor of Nebraska volleyball. The partnership includes branding and signage throughout the Devaney Sports Center, as well as involvement in various marketing and promotional initiatives. This sponsorship further solidifies Ameritas' commitment to the Lincoln community and its support for the University of Nebraska athletics program.

The Cornhuskers enter the 2022 season with high expectations, ranked No. 3 in the AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll. Head coach John Cook, who has led Nebraska to five national championships, is confident in his team's abilities.

"We're excited to start the season at home in front of our fans," said Cook. "TCU is a tough opponent, but we're preparing hard and we're ready to compete."

The Horned Frogs, who went 22-10 last season, will pose a significant challenge for Nebraska. Led by head coach Jill Kramer, TCU returns several key players from last year's squad, including All-American setter Sarah Adams.

The Huskers will rely on a strong core of experienced players, including All-American middle blocker Nicklin Hames and senior outside hitter Madi Kubik. Nebraska also welcomes a talented group of newcomers, including freshman outside hitter Lindsay Krause and transfer setter Ally Batenhorst.

The match between Nebraska and TCU will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network and BTN+. Fans can also follow the action on Twitter (@HuskerVB) and Instagram (@huskervb).
